Wisdom for the Day - Standing Strong
Day 004 Fearfully and Wonderfully Made | Psalm 139:14
Start your week anchored in a truth that refuses to bend to likes, opinions, or yesterday’s mistakes: you are fearfully and wonderfully made. We sit with Psalm 139:14 and let its simple words cut through the noise of comparison and the pressure to prove. Lauren guides a calm, honest reflection that names common lies—“not enough,” “be more like them,” “your past defines you”—and counters each one with the steady voice of scripture, pointing us back to identity, purpose, and worth that come from the Creator.
Together we explore what it means to live as God’s workmanship in a world obsessed with metrics and momentum. Instead of hustling for validation, we practice walking with quiet confidence and steady courage, the kind that does not depend on flawless days or universal approval. You’ll hear a short prayer to reset your posture and a simple habit to carry the message into real life: write Psalm 139:14 where you’ll see it. That small cue turns into a daily liturgy, reorienting your heart before the rush of Monday and beyond.
We also share how this weekend reflection fits into a bigger rhythm, with daily wisdom returning tomorrow and more weekend check-ins ahead. If you’re ready to trade comparison for calling and anxiety for assurance, this conversation offers a gentle, practical path back to truth. Listen, breathe, and step into the week knowing your value is settled and your story is still being written. If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs a reminder, and leave a quick review so others can find hope too.

Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for spiritual refreshment and guidance. I'm Rick. Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges. Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom. Ready to feel inspired? Let's get started. And now, weekends with Lauren.
SPEAKER_00:Today is day four. Fearfully and wonderfully made. We'll be in Psalm chapter 139, verse 14 from the New Living Translation. Your workmanship is marvelous. How well I know it. Hey, it's Sunday. I'm really glad you're here. I'm Lauren, and I love that we get to start the day centered on God's truth together. Before the week rushes in, before the noise and all the expectations and all the comparisons, let's pause and remember what God says is true. Psalm 139 reminds us of something we often forget. God doesn't make mistakes. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, not rushed and not flawed, and you're not overlooked. Carefully formed by a creator who knew exactly what he was doing when he made you. Scripture calls you his workmanship, his masterpiece. And yet the enemy works overtime trying to convince us otherwise. He whispers that we're not enough, that we should be more like someone else, that our weaknesses define us, that our past disqualifies us. But God's word speaks louder than every lie you've ever believed. When God looks at you, he sees purpose, he sees beauty, he sees value. And when you stand firm in who God created you to be, you can face each day with a quiet confidence and a steady courage that doesn't come from the world. Because here's the truth: your value doesn't come from opinions, likes, accomplishments, or approval. It comes from your creator, and he calls you his child. He delights in you. He is not disappointed in his work. You don't have to prove your worth this week. You already have it. Let's pray. Lord, thank you for making me fearfully and wonderfully. Help me walk in confidence today, rooted in the truth that I am your creation. Teach me to silence the lies and live fully in the purpose you've given me. Amen. Now, I want you to do this one thing. Write Psalm 139 14 somewhere you'll see it this week, on a mirror, a note, or on your phone, as a daily reminder of your value. And remember, Rick has your daily dose of wisdom for the day all week long, starting tomorrow, and I will see you Saturday on weekends with Lauren. Well, that's all for today. But remember, I'm here every weekend, and you should be too. The executive producer for Wisdom for the Day, Weekends with Lauren, is Kimmy Shirley. Special intro and outro music by Weston McCurry. You can message me or Rick at renewedmindsets.com slash contact. I'm so glad we had this time together. And don't forget, he's not finished writing your story. Come back next time and we'll keep walking it out together here on weekends with Lauren. I love you all so much. Bye.
