SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Wisdom for the Day. In a world that keeps shifting, this is where we return to what holds us steady. Let's begin today grounded, focused, and standing strong. Today is day twenty one. You are strengthened by grace from 2 Timothy chapter 2, verse 1, from the New Living Translation. Be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. Grace a lot of times is talked about as the doorway into faith, but it was never meant to stop there. Grace is not just what saves you, it's what sustains you. It's the strength that God supplies when your own strength runs out, when effort isn't enough, and when trying harder only leaves you exhausted. Standing strong in your identity means learning to rely on grace instead of pressure. Now, a lot of us carry the quiet belief that we have to prove ourselves to God, to prove ourselves to others, or even to our own conscience. But Scripture reminds us that strength doesn't come from striving, it comes from receiving. Grace is not a reward for doing well, it's a gift given freely, especially when you're aware of your need. When you stumble, grace doesn't shame you, it steadies you. When you feel weak, grace doesn't abandon you, it carries you. And when you're tempted to quit because the road feels long or progress feels slow, grace gently reminds you that God is still at work, even when you can't see the results yet. You don't have to muscle your way through life. God never asked you to be strong on your own. He invited you to be strong in Him. His grace meets you exactly where you are and gives you what you need for today. Nothing more, nothing less. So take a breath. Release the pressure. Strength is not something you have to manufacture, it's something God provides. Let's pray. Father God, thank you for your grace that meets me in my weakness and strengthens me when I feel tired and overwhelmed. Help me, God, to depend on your grace each day and stop striving for what you freely give. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen. Alright, today, show grace to someone who frustrates you. I say it so matter-of-factly, but that's what you need to do. Show grace to someone who frustrates the heck out of you. Pause before reacting. Choose forgiveness over irritation, and remember, remember how generously God has shown grace to you. Okay? I'll see you tomorrow. Wisdom for the Day is produced by Lauren King, recorded at the Upper Room Studios with intro and outro music by Weston McCurry. I'm Rick Yuhas.
