Welcome to Wisdom for the Day. In a world that keeps shifting, this is where we return to what holds us steady. Let's begin today grounded, focused, and standing strong. Today is day 22. You are a new creation. From Colossians chapter 3, verse 10 from the New Living Translation. Put on your new nature and be renewed as you learn to know your creator and become like Him. When you gave your life to Christ, something real happened. God didn't just forgive you, He changed you. He gave you a new nature. But if I'm being honest, living from that new nature doesn't always feel automatic. Some days it feels natural. Other days it feels like a conscious, moment-by-moment decision. Standing strong in your identity means recognizing that transformation is intentional. Paul doesn't say your new nature magically takes over. That tells me I have a choice every day, sometimes every hour, Lord, sometimes every minute, about which version of me gets the final say. The old patterns are familiar. The old reactions come quickly, but they no longer define me unless I let them. The more I spend time with Him, the more I notice changes, not all at once, and not always dramatically, but steadily. My thoughts shift, my responses soften. Things that once pulled me backwards lose some of their grip. And then there's still moments I catch myself slipping in the old nature. Old habits, old fears, old ways of thinking. But I'm learning not to panic in those moments. Growth doesn't mean you never struggle, it means you don't stay stuck. Grace gives me room to keep choosing the new nature again and again. It's a lifelong process. It's not rushed, it's not forced, it's just faithful. And every small step of obedience is evidence that God is still at work. You are not who you used to be, and you're not done becoming who God is shaping you to be. Let's pray. Lord God, thank you for making me new. Help me recognize when I'm slipping into old ways, and give me grace to choose the new nature that you've placed within me. Renew my mind and shape my heart to reflect you more each day. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen. All right, here's what I want you to do. Today, ask God to show you one area of your life where you're still living from your old nature. Don't beat yourself up. Just surrender it honestly and ask God to help you walk differently today.
